STERIS Announces the Expansion of Sterility Cleanroom at Brooklyn Park, MN, USA Laboratory

As part of our long-term commitment to supporting medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing, STERIS is pleased to announce our Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, USA laboratory has expanded its sterility cleanroom, tripling the cleanroom footprint and doubling the testing capacity.

The additional testing capacity includes advanced contamination control measures, supporting compliance with USP <71> sterility testing requirements and enhancing reliability in microbiological evaluations.

The new ISO Class 6 cleanroom will be equipped with six ISO Class 5 laminar flow hoods and a pass-through sterilizer, which improves aseptic transfer of testing materials to the ISO 6 environment.

Increased demand for additional USP <71> testing and service capacity has accelerated our plans for global laboratory expansion.

In response to evolving Customer requirements and market growth, we are continuously enhancing our microbiological, analytical, and product and package testing services offered by STERIS, providing a comprehensive portfolio of testing options.

Product release to market is further supported by the STERIS AST global network of contract irradiation and gas sterilization facilities.
