STERIS Expands Laboratory Testing Capabilities in Costa Rica

• Supports medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing with integrated laboratory testing and sterilization services 
• Complements existing EO and E-beam operations in the region 
  

As part of our long-term commitment to supporting global medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing, STERIS is pleased to announce the expansion of the laboratory testing capabilities available at our facility in Alajuela, Costa Rica. 

Located within our existing ethylene oxide (EO) processing facility and near our electron beam (E-beam) facility, the laboratory will complement our current radiation and EO sterilization operations and further expand our ability to support Customers throughout the product lifecycle.  

The expanded laboratory is expected to pursue ISO 17025 accreditation following the commencement of its expanded operations. 

The laboratory expansion reflects STERIS's continued investment in Costa Rica and our commitment to helping Customers accelerate product development, validation, and go-to-market through integrated laboratory testing and sterilization solutions.

Customers will benefit from improved collaboration with on-site technical professionals, reduced complexity associated with international sample shipping, and enhanced support from development and validation through routine processing and commercialization. 

In addition to the Costa Rica laboratory, we support medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing in the Americas through our electron beam, ethylene oxide, gamma, and X-ray sterilization services and laboratory testing services.
