STERIS Announces New Radiation Technology Center (RTC) in Kuala Ketil, Malaysia

• Supports medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing with dedicated gamma and X-ray testing and validation services 
• Complements existing laboratory testing services to provide Customers with dose setting, dose audits, maximum dose testing, and product design verification

April 1, 2026 - As part of our long-term commitment to supporting global medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing, STERIS is pleased to announce the expansion of its radiation testing services to include a new Radiation Technology Center (RTC) in Kuala Ketil, Malaysia.

The new RTC will support our APAC Customers with comprehensive gamma and X-ray radiation testing services.    

The Radiation Technology Centers (RTCs) deliver high‑precision irradiation dosing for dose setting, dose audits, maximum dose testing, and product development and research.

As a global network of specialized testing facilities, the RTCs collectively support Customers using electron beam, gamma, and X‑ray technologies, connecting Customers with the appropriate irradiation modality at dedicated RTC locations.

In addition to the Kuala Ketil, Malaysia RTC, we support medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing in Asia through our electron beam, ethylene oxide, gamma, and X-ray processing sterilization services in Kuala Ketil, Port Klang, Batu Kawan, and Rawang, Malaysia; Chonburi, Thailand; Suzhou, China; and Singapore, and laboratory testing services in Kuala Ketil, Malaysia and Suzhou, China. 

In addition to the Radiation Technology Center, our Kuala Ketil facility recently expanded its laboratory testing capabilities.
