STERIS is Pleased to Announce Our Ede, The Netherlands Laboratory Now Offers EO Residual Testing

March 26, 2026: As part of our long-term commitment to supporting medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing, STERIS is pleased to announce our Ede, The Netherlands laboratory now offers EO residual testing in accordance with ISO 10993-7.

Ben Wood, Director of Laboratory Testing Services – EMEA & APAC, at STERIS Applied Sterilization Technologies, comments, “Expanding residual testing into the Netherlands enables us to better serve regional Customers by providing direct access to local services capable of delivering Customer-oriented approaches, proactive collaboration, and timely, trusted, and reliable results.”

Residual testing ensures that devices sterilized with ethylene oxide comply with strict limits to protect patient safety, including tolerable contact limits for surface-contacting and implantable products.

This testing is essential for pharmaceuticals and medical devices requiring biocompatibility assurance. 

Our residual testing services comply with ISO 10993-7 and complement the existing microbiological and analytical testing services available at the Ede laboratory.
