STERIS AST to install an upgraded operations data management system (ODMS)

August 28, 2017

We are pleased to announce the installation of an upgraded Operations Data Management System (ODMS) at all STERIS Applied Sterilization Technologies (AST) sites worldwide.

ODMS is an operations system that captures data from product receipt through return shipment, providing documentation along the way. The system has been used for several years at our legacy Isomedix locations. Since the STERIS-Synergy combination in late 2015, we have been developing a standardized software process for implementation at all processing sites.

The installation of ODMS globally provides our Customers with several benefits, including:

  • Consistent processing documentation, such as certificates of processing, among all sites
  • Consistent STERIS branding and legal entity listings on all processing documentation

While the format of processing documentation will change for some sites, the data required in the documents will remain.

We are taking a phased approach to rolling out the new ODMS system globally, beginning in September 2017, with a target completion of November 2018. We will provide notice to Customers of each processing site as we near the date of the ODMS implementation.

We look forward to providing our Customers with an improved level of service consistency through the new ODMS system.  Should you have any questions, please email us at ast_info@steris.com.
