STERIS announces new ethylene oxide and x-ray processing facilities in europe

December 4, 2020

As part of our long-term commitment to supporting medical device manufacturing, STERIS is pleased to announce the construction of two new processing locations in Europe.

A new ethylene oxide (EO) facility is being built in the Czech Republic, which will complement the services offered at our existing EO site in Velka Bites. In Germany, a new X-ray radiation processing site is being constructed to support our existing electron beam and gamma processing sites in Allershausen, Bitterfeld, and Radeberg.

These expansions in the Czech Republic and Germany further our commitment of ensuring patient safety through a technology-neutral service offering that includes radiation and gas processing options, now and well into the future.

Increased demand in medical device manufacturing has accelerated our plans for global expansion. The addition of radiation-processing options throughout our global network allows us to support Customers with both routine services and processing redundancy.
