STERIS expands brooklyn park, minnesota laboratory to include product and packaging testing services

As part of our long-term commitment to supporting global medical device manufacturing, STERIS is pleased to announce the expansion of its existing Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, USA laboratory to include product and packaging testing services.

The additional testing services include multiple accelerated and real-time aging chambers and a full suite of distribution simulation capabilities, furthering our commitment to supporting medical device manufacturers throughout all stages of the sterilization design process. As a critical piece of new product development, this offering ensures that medical devices meet industry requirements for sterile claim and product functionality. These services are also an important consideration when converting product from one sterilization technology to another, confirming product and packaging compatibility with the new technology.

In conjunction with the microbial validation services offered by STERIS, the product and packaging testing services provide a comprehensive portfolio of testing options for the validation of sterile medical devices. Product release to market is further supported by the STERIS AST global network of contract sterilization facilities and laboratories.

The additional product and packaging services will be available in mid-2022, complementing the existing offering at the STERIS Galway, Ireland facility.
