STERIS AST makes their way around the world in a virtual challenge

From the 19th of June to the 7th of September, STERIS Applied Sterilization Technologies Associates have been busy making their way Around the World in 80 Days.

Around the World in 80 Days is a virtual engagement initiative that unites STERIS Associates by bringing people together from across the global business.

This annual event started in 2021 as a way to bring people together virtually, following a series of lockdowns due to the pandemic. Now in our third year, it carries on as a way to engage with colleagues across different cultures, languages, and time zones.

Participants virtually track their daily exercise and activities, which are converted into steps that enable the STERIS team to make their way around the circumference of the earth (40,075 km/ 24,901 miles) as many times as they can.

The 2023 event saw over 1,200 STERIS Associates take part and contribute to the challenge!

This event was designed to drive the “One Team One Goal” culture, promote engagement, and boost collaboration across facilities. This event showcases the fantastic teamwork and collaboration that the global STERIS team demonstrates every day when serving our Customers. Through working together, we can achieve great things!
