STERIS announces new x-ray processing facility in ireland

 February 2022 - As part of our long-term commitment to supporting medical device manufacturing, STERIS is pleased to announce plans for the construction of a new X-ray radiation processing facility in Tullamore, Ireland.

The expansion of services in Ireland furthers our commitment of ensuring patient safety through a technology-neutral service offering that includes radiation and gas processing options, now and well into the future. In addition to the new X-ray facility in Tullamore, we support medical device manufacturing in Ireland through our existing ethylene oxide, electron beam, VHP and microbiological testing services in Tullamore, gamma processing in Westport, and product and packaging testing services in Galway.

Increased demand in medical device manufacturing has accelerated our plans for global expansion. The addition of radiation-processing options throughout our global network allows us to support Customers with both routine services and processing redundancy.
