STERIS announces expansion of radiation technology center to include x-ray and e-beam technologies

October 2019 - As part of our long-term commitment to supporting global medical device manufacturing, STERIS is pleased to announce the expansion of its existing Radiation Technology Center (RTC) in Libertyville, Illinois, USA to include X-ray and electron beam technologies.  The expansion complements the existing gamma test services available at the RTC and provides Customers with comprehensive radiation testing services in the Americas.

The expansion of the RTC furthers our commitment of ensuring patient safety through a technology-neutral service offering that includes radiation and gas processing options, now and well into the future. In addition to the Libertyville RTC, we also provide ethylene oxide testing services through our EO Technology Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA.

Increased demand in medical device manufacturing has accelerated our plans for global expansion. The addition of radiation-processing options throughout our global network allows us to support Customers with both routine services and processing redundancy.
